ARTIST STATEMENT    My art is about working with grass from the natural environment and forming it into a shape that highlights the beauty of the fiber and expresses movement in its form.
			When I create a twined woven piece, the tiny stitches and embellishment come together like pieces of a puzzle, symbolizing what I feel. Feelings expressed in my weaving are inspired by the sights and sounds of nature around me; the wind, the waves and patches of deep green grass. In my art, I challenge myself to push the limits of the fiber and form to express a fresh concept. I'm delighted when people see patience, simplicity and beauty in my work. This is my art.
